What Is Prepaid Mobile and How Does It Work?: When you buy a SIM Starter Kit or recharge, you pay for a prepaid cellphone service upfront.
Before you begin using the service, you must pay a particular amount of money, which is transformed into mobile credit that may be used for:
- Sending text messages
- Using mobile data
- Making calls
The credit available for each of the above usage types is determined by your Prepaid plan and the amount you reload.
The credit will expire after a predetermined period of time, such as 28 days, depending on your plan and recharge.
Balance, recharging, and prepaid credit
Standard recharge
Recharge is a payment made in advance for a prepaid service. Your recharge will provide you with credit to make calls, send texts, and use data on your phone.
Each recharge has a time limit. To keep using the service and take advantage of rollover benefits, you should recharge before the expiration date.
Add-Ons & Bonus Data
Prepaid credit can also be obtained through a bonus from us or by purchasing Add-Ons.
Add-Ons are extra credits added to your regular recharge.
If your total credit is made up of different balances (for example, a standard recharge, bonus credit, and add-ons), the bonus credit will be used first, followed by add-ons, and finally standard inclusions.

What is the difference between prepaid and postpaid?
When you pay for a service, the main distinction between Prepaid and Postpaid is when you pay for it.
You’ll get a bill at the end of the month based on your usage if you’re on a Postpaid plan. If you utilize all of your plan’s included features (calls, texts, and data), you’ll be charged an overage cost.
A contract is also required for a postpaid plan. For example, you could sign up for a 24-month postpaid plan. You pay for your phone service upfront with a prepaid plan. Before you can use a prepaid service, you must first recharge your account.

Is a Prepaid Mobile Plan the Best Option for Me?
Prepaid mobile plans provide you with more freedom and flexibility when it comes to how you use your phone. You don’t have to top up your phone immediately after your recharge expires; you simply have to do so when you need to use it again.
